About Emily!

Emily grew up in a small town in Northeast Georgia. She began performing as a child through singing in church choir, dancing, and performing in church Christmas plays. In middle school, Emily discovered her love for theatre and participated in productions each semester all three years while simultaneously taking part in the school choir as well as joining the musical theatre program. She also began competition dancing at this time.

Emily continued her involvement in the arts in high school all four years with performances in choir, theatre, musical theatre, and dance. She was invited to join the advanced choral ensemble her junior year, singing at concerts, Christmas caroling at the annual Kris Kringle market, and uplifting members of the community at local assisted living facilities. Each spring, the musical theatre program would write and put together a jukebox musical as the program didn’t have the funding to put on a large scale production of a standard musical for 70 students. This variety show was a way to showcase as much talent in the program as possible as well as expose the community to more music while making it family-friendly. As a senior, Emily had the opportunity to co-choreograph the musical and explore her creativity in a new avenue. She also directed her first short play, The Turret Rose, and performed the role of the Dewdrop Fairy in her studio’s annual Nutcracker ballet.

Emily soon recognized her love of performance and continued her education at Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) as a Performing Arts major with minors in Vocal Performance and Dance. There she learned from industry professionals about methods of acting, Shakespeare, auditioning techniques, and on-camera acting, and more. She also continued her dance training with technique classes and dance composition. She had opportunities to choreograph for several projects including music videos, an original musical, and the spring 2026 dance Performance Lab where students choreographed pieces with the theme of retelling a story. She graduated Summa Cum Laude in spring of 2026 with her B.F.A
